Windlands Park in Midland is on it’s Way to Becoming Greener
Windlands Park in Midland, also known as the walking park off of Wadley and A Street, is on the way to being greener.
According to NewsWest 9, the big brick building that is located next to the parking lot is known to a lot of people but most do not know it's purpose.
The purpose of the building is to treat waste water and use it to irrigate the park.
But officials with the city want the building to blend in with the surroundings of the park.
The city plans to plant more landscape around the building to cover it up and help it to be less of an eyesore.
The water will also be used to plant more landscape around the park as well to make the park even more pretty and appealing.
With the city providing a use for its waste water and being resourceful with it will help set a good example for the rest of the state and possibly the rest of the country.
