What I’m Thankful For – November 5th

I'm going to take time every day, to recount my blessings and share with you what I am thankful for this month.

Today I am thankful for my friends. There was a time in my life when I had many, many 'friends'...a mile wide and an inch deep. In this business, you meet a lot of people and almost all of them are pleasant and friendly. I hadn't really thought about those relationships until there were some major and unpleasant 'life events' that made me realize that the people you thought were friends, were just of the 'fair-weather' variety.

Please understand, I'm not taking shots at anyone. It was my fault not developing those close personal relationships with people that would stand by me, good times and bad.

A man of too many friends comes to ruin, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. - NASB

It was one of the lowest times in my life, but through that I found out who my real friends were. I also learned that to have those kinds of friends in my life, I needed to be that kind of friend to them.

Today, I am thankful for my friends.
