Alpine City Council repeated what Presidio City Council did and is now requiring citizens to wear a mask in public.

According to NewsWest 9, Alpine City Council decided during their meeting on April 22, 2020 to require all residents to wear masks in a public setting.

Unlike Presidio, Alpine will not fine people for not complying with the new law at this time but it could be administered at a later date.

Also in Alpine N-95 masks are not required, just any cloth covering like bandanas or paper masks are acceptable.

City of Alpine is putting a tiered response plan, to see all the tiers and requirements, go to the City of Alpine website.
