Dolly Parton’s ‘Joleen’ Is Haunting When Slowed Down – [AUDIO]

Some of us older DJ-types remember slowing 45 records down to 33 1/2 rpm for fun, to hear what the vocals would sound like. This is a version of Dolly Parton's 1973 hit 'Joleen' that has been slowed down, and the results are erie!

The internet went crazy over the song after it was slowed-down, and it even made Season One, Episode 15 of NBC's 'The Blacklist'.

The quick guitar-picking becomes more distinct and the vocals take on a contralto tone, which makes the song more ominous.
