Well, this looks a ton of fun: Brad Pitt starring in a wild action comedy from David Leitch, the guy who helped launch the John Wick franchise and then went on to direct Atomic BlondeDeadpool 2Hobbs & Shaw, and Nobody, which turned Bob Odenkirk into a kung-fu fighting badass. This time it’s Brad Pitt who gets to show off his action chops in Bullet Train, in a movie about a hitman who wants to bring more “peace” into the world, and then accepts a “simple” job grabbing a briefcase from a train in Japan.

But seemingly everyone on the train wants that same briefcase, and all of them are good at fighting because this is a David Leitch movie. (The cast also includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Joey King, Andrew Koji, Zazie Beetz, Brian Tyree Henry, Logan Lerman, and Michael Shannon.) The trailer makes it look like exactly the sort of popcorn movie people like to watch during the summer. Check it out:

Pitt seems to have moved into a new phase of his career between this, The Lost City, and of course Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, where he’s mostly playing dryly funny and incredibly cool tough guys. A real stretch for Brad! But it’s working for him. Here is Bullet Train’s official synopsis:

An original movie event, Bullet Train is a fun, delirious action-thriller from the director of Deadpool 2, David Leitch. Brad Pitt headlines an ensemble cast of eclectic, diverse assassins – all with connected yet conflicting objectives – set against the backdrop of a non-stop ride through modern-day Japan.

Bullet Train opens exclusively in theaters on July 15.
