Stephen Colbert’s Flashback to His Final ‘Daily Show’ Reminds Us Things Change for the Hilarious
Stephen Colbert decided to go back to where it all began.
The Late Show host did some good ol' fashioned reminiscing last night when he fondly recalled his final day on The Daily Show back in 2005, thanks, in part, to the help of some co-workers who you may recognize.
Samantha Bee, Rob Corddry, Ed Helms, John Oliver (as Steve Carell) and Jon Stewart re-enacted that fateful final day, complete with jokes that weren't jokes at the time (a president better for comedy than George W. Bush? Bill Cosby and Jared from Subway will never let you down?), but are hilarious in retrospect.
Considering the tumult in America right now, it was a nice trip down memory lane for those of us who watched The Daily Show.
Over on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, host Jimmy Kimmel dealt with the day's headlines head on when he announced he was peddling new "Comey Is My Homey" T-shirts in honor of James Comey, who was fired as head of the FBI by Donald Trump on Tuesday.
Things were hardly as political on The Late Late Show with James Corden where Corden and Eva Longoria, Paul Feig and Sam Richardson participated in a spirited game of Nuzzle Whaaa?
And Jimmy Fallon enlisted Aziz Ansari to do some dramatic Yelp! review readings on The Tonight Show, which serve as a reminder to always watch your words when you go online.
