Rally Held This Weekend to Save The Name of Lee High School

Many in the community flocked to the campus of Lee High School this past weekend to show support of the Lee name.

According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, the people are for the removal of "Robert E." from the name of the school but not the name "Lee."

The rally was called the "Save Lee Rebels Rally" to save the name and legacy of Lee High School.

MISD school board has already voted to change the name of Lee High School and has formed a committee to re-name the high school.

The rally was to show support for the Lee name in hopes of letting the committee know that there are people in the community that are not for a complete name change, only a partial one.
