Golf Course and Midkiff Intersection to Re-open on August 19

After almost 6 months of being closed, the Golf Course and Midkiff intersection will be reopening this Wednesday, August 19, 2020.

According to NewsWest 9, the closure was caused by infrastructure repairs that should have only taken a couple of weeks to a month.

But an unexpected collapse of a waste water manhole in March uncovered more extensive issues that needed immediate repairs and replacement.

The repairs and replacements in the area include new storm drain outlets, repairs to the underground traffic signals and improved sidewalk access.

The intersection was also repaved with concrete to insure repairs to the road would not be needed for many years.
