Old Memorial Christian Church New Owners Plan For Convenience Store and Car Wash, Ask For Zone Change

The old Memorial Christian Church area has been requested to have a zone change to retail.

According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, the area where the church building is located at 1001 Andrews Hwy. at the intersection of Cuthbert Ave. has been changed to a retail zone by the Planning and Zoning Commission with the plans of building a convenience store and car wash in that area.

Planning and Zoning Commissioners voted 6-0 in favor of the zone change.

No information has been released on what will happen to the church buildings located on the re-zoned area.
