Drone Camp combines imagination and engineering to help students bring their creativity to life.

According to NewsWest 9, every summer, Odessa College holds special sessions to give the youth in the area a chance to continue learning and creating during summer vacation.

This year the College For Kids program is helping students with "Drone Camp," helping students put their ideas into flight.

Nicholas Harrison is the Assistant Director of the Fab Lab and he says the class is more than just making and flying drones, "The entire idea of the Fab Lab is that you can imagine something, design it, then create it. It’s a lot more than just a Drone Camp…its learning how things work, how to take them apart, how to put them back together and use all the equipment that we have in the Fab Lab".

The "Drone Camp" finished up this week but Odessa College has a whole lot more camps coming up in the summer to give kids in the community a chance to continue learning even during the summer while also having fun.

For other camps scheduled for this summer, check out the OC College For Kids website.
