Odessa City Council Passes Final Documents for Downtown Hotel and Convention Center
The Odessa Downtown Hotel and Convention Center is off and running.
According to CBS 7, Odessa City Council approved the final documents for the hotel/convention center complex in downtown at their meeting Tuesday night.
The plan and its 76 pages outlines the future of downtown Odessa beginning with the hotel and convention center and the renovation of the Ector Theater.
It also covers other projects planned for downtown revitalization like the demolition of the old JC Penney building and creating a restaurant cluster.
The hotel and convention center is set to begin construction in January 2018.
