New Transportation Projects Are Funded and Expected to Begin Soon in Midland and Odessa
Some new transportation projects were granted funding and are expected to begin in the next few years.
According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, the Permian Basin Metropolitan Planning Organization just drafted plans for some priority projects that just got funding for the Midland/Odessa area.
The areas funded and ready for construction in the next few years are:
- Construction of a new interchange on U.S. Highway 385 at Loop 338 in Ector County: $17.7 million.
- Reconfiguration of the interchanges on Interstate 20 from Lamesa Road to FM 715 in Midland County: $4.5 million.
- Construction of a new interchange on I-20 at County Road 1250 in Midland County: $19.84 million.
- Construction of a new interchange on Loop 250 at CR 1150 and CR 60 in Midland County: $21.5 million.
- Construction of a new interchange on Loop 338 at Yukon Road in Ector County: $19.2 million.
- Ramp reconfigurations in the area of Loop 250 and State Highway 191 in Midland County: $6.26 million.
Those projects are scheduled to begin in the next three years.
