Midland Mayor Says Founder of ChinaAid is in a Safe Place After Protests and Threats

Mayor Patrick Payton held a press conference to address the situation involving the ChinaAid founder.

According to NewsWest 9, the mayor says that "communist agitators" have been threatening Bob Fu and his family.

Fu is the founder of ChinaAid which is an organization working to protect Christians in China from facing religious persecution.

Fu has been the target of protests and threats saying he is the leader of the Chinese Communist Party, but in reality he has been wanted by the party for years.

The mayor says Fu and his family are in a safe place at this time.
