Midland Fire Dept is looking for the Strongest Man or Woman in the Permian Basin.

It's the Strong Man/Woman competition happening this Saturday from 9:00AM-1:00PM at Heroes Fitness at 4400 N. Midland Drive.

The competition is open for Men and Women and goes to help MFD's Community Risk Reduction program. The guys and girls will have three timed events and you can either try solo or go as a team.

The challenge for Men will consist of pulling a 50,000- lb. fire truck 50 ft., flipping a 550-pound tire 50 ft. and dragging a 200-pound mannequin 50 ft.

The Strong Woman Challenge will consist of pulling a 12,000-pound fire truck 25 ft., flipping a 150-pound tire 25 ft., and dragging a 75-pound mannequin 25 ft.
