If you have seen firemen from MFD holding boots on different intersections around Midland, make sure you donate cause all proceeds go to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

According to NewsWest 9, its the annual "Fill The Boot" campaign that the Midland Fire Department holds every year to give to MDA.

"It's important for us to help the Muscular Dystrophy Association. It's been an ongoing tradition for over 60 years. This is the 64th year that fire service and locals across the nation have been assisting with muscular dystrophy just trying to get these kids back on their feet give them a more suitable life. They’re fighting diseases that are hard to find cures for," said Greg Wells, Firefighter for the Midland Fire Department.

So if you are at an intersection where the firefighters are, make sure you donate some spare change laying around in your car or give them a few bucks out of your wallet or purse.

The firefighters will be at the intersections for the next couple of days collecting for MDA.
