Midland County Public Libraries are teaming up with the West Texas Food Bank to provide kids with meals all through the summer.

According to NewsWest 9, not only the kids can enjoy the free meals but their parents can take part and also enjoy additional programs this summer.

The Library Lunches program will be available now through August 9, 2019 at the newly renovated downtown Midland County Public Library at 301 W. Missouri Ave.

Lunch will be served Monday-Friday from noon-1pm.

This is the third year the library has partnered with the West Texas Food Bank to provide lunches for kids and their families during summer vacation.

There is no need for reservations or pre-registration for the free lunch program and the library encourages all who are in need to come take part.

“Summer is the busiest time of the year for the West Texas Food Bank and having the opportunity to go ‘where the kids are’ is fundamental to the way the Summer Food Service Program works," said Libby Campbell, Executive Director of the West Texas Food Bank.
