Matt New Concert Raises $16,000 for Midland and Odessa School Districts

Matt New, contestant on last season's "The Voice," raises $16,000 for both school districts in Midland/Odessa.

According to NewsWest 9, the concert that was held at The Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center on December 15th pulled in $16,000 for the local school districts, with $8,000 going to each school district.

The money will go to help out the performing arts in both cities.

Teachers in the performing arts are encouraged to apply for funding now for the 2020-2021 school year.

Applications for the fund are going on now through March 31, 2020.
