Did you know you can have a conversation with the police that doesn’t involve you getting a ticket for speeding? The Midland Police Department is looking to do just that with their 'Coffee with a Cop' program.

Join officers for coffee and conversation from 7-9 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5 at the Starbucks located at Midkiff and Wadley. It will be an informal, neutral space to discuss community issues, build relationships, and, of course, drink coffee.

The program aims to advance the practice of community policing through improving relationships between police officers and community members, one cup of coffee at a time. 'Coffee with a Cop' breaks down barriers and allows for a relaxed, one-on-one interaction outside of an emergency or emotional situation.
