Lightning Strike Kills 19 Cows in Texas

Lightning is powerful, and can be deadly as 19 unsuspecting cows discovered while taking shelter under a tree in East Texas.

According to KLTV, witnesses saw the whole thing happen, and in the video below you'll see the grim after effects. Victor Benson, who saw the strike, claimed that with one bolt of lighting, "the cows just fell."

Owner, Ashley Anderson, described the instance as a 'freak thing,' saying they believe there was nothing that could have been done to prevent the deaths.
