Kermit/McCamey Game Canceled Due To COVID-19 Positive Test of Athlete

The season opener of high school football between Kermit and McCamey has been canceled because of a positive COVID-19 test.

According to NewsWest 9, a Kermit High School student tested positive for COVID-19 so the game has been canceled with no plans to reschedule or add a game to the schedule.

Kermit ISD says the high school campus and surrounding buildings were extensively sanitized on Thursday evening (August 27, 2020).
