Judge Rules Ballot Boxes from November Election to be Opened and Recounted

Boxes to be re-opened are the missing ballot box and the ballot that was stuck inside the machine that was placed at Manor Park.

According to NewsWest 9, the MISD bond election judge has decided the missing ballot box will be opened on January 17, 2020.

The opening will take place in the conference of the Midland County Annex and will include the ballot discovered stuck in a machine that was assigned to Manor Park.

The ballot box was misplaced after the election with 836 ballots which were not counted during the original recount on November 22-23, 2019.

The "We Choose Our Future" group filed to contest the election, while the "Better Bond For Midland" group have ordered a whole new election.
