Ft. Stockton Water Well Tests Positive for E. Coli

A Ft. Stockton water well in the Pecos County Water District has tested positive for E. coli.

According to NewsWest 9, the bacteria was found on September 4, 2020 in the water supply for Ft. Stockton.

The well was removed from the system and the PCWD is working on getting the well disinfected and back into operation which should take about 72 hours.
