ECISD Will Partner Up With SpaceX to Provide Internet Access To Those Who Don’t Have It
ECISD will partner with SpaceX to provide good quality high speed internet to students who have bad internet or no internet at all.
According to NewsWest 9, the partnership will bring high quality broadband internet to places that have lower quality internet like Pleasant Farms.
The project goal is to have the area targeted by almost 700 satellites, but only 45 families will be able to participate at the start of the project.
The cost will be $300,000 a year, all paid for by ECISD and its partners.
SpaceX, owned by Elon Musk, has launched over 800 Starlink satellites since 2002.
