Demonstration Planned at Mid-Cities Church For Next Week

A demonstration is planned for next week at Mid-Cities Church.

According to NewsWest 9, the demonstration will demand "equal treatment for black and brown Americans."

Christians for a Change will be organizing the protest along with law enforcement and local leaders.

“We believe in the power of us all standing as the body of Christ to show our city that we hear them and support them,” states the press release. “We would like to invite everyone from all backgrounds to silently stand with us in an organized demonstration and prayer vigil for justice and peace. We believe it is critical for racial reconciliation, social justice and our community’s oneness.”

The demonstration will be held at 7pm Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at Mid-Cities Church located at 8700 State Highway 191 in Midland.
