Brooks Landgraf Pushing For Bill to Make Stronger Punishment on Assaulting Pregnant Women in Texas

State Representative Brooks Landgraf is proposing a bill to make assaults on pregnant women a felony offense.

According to NewsWest 9, the bill would increase punishment of an assault on a pregnant woman from a misdemeanor to a third degree felony in the state of Texas.

The bill also aims to protect both mother and child and create a greater deterrent for such assaults.
