Ask Midland Odessa – Co-Worker Tags Along At Lunch All The Time!

Buzz Question - Help. Need suggestions? We have a co-worker that always TAGS ALONG FOR LUNCH! Literally invites herself. Every now and then is cool and it's no biggie, but she does it all the time. Don't mind every now and then , but all the time? Need suggestions on how to handle this, because we don't want to be rude! Thanks in advance!

Just be honest. The truth will hurt but it’s better then being fake. It might make things awkward at work but I don’t think this coworker going to lunch with you is really a big deal. She’s trying to be friendly and get along with her coworkers. Honestly you can’t find that nowadays. It’s better you all work well together then have drama over who goes to lunch with you. Js!
 

Ramona - Just tell her Hey, there will be times when I'm going to lunch with a certain person so I can talk to them about something. As if you need the time alone with that person and hopefully she gets the hint.
