Are These The 10 Commandments Of School Pick Up & Drop Off?
Now that Odessa-Midland and a few surrounding areas have started school, here’s hoping that it will be a wonderful school year for all! Teachers, students, and parents are excitedly waiting to see what the 2022-2023 school year will bring. Good things one can only hope! However, as a mother of 3, I still struggle with school drop off and pick up. Why, why, why has this not been figured out yet?
Why must we struggle with this every single year? Why has no one perfected the process like every Chick fil A drive thru in America? The struggle is real and now that we have started a new school year I can tell you right now, I will not have this thing figured out until next year! lol Maybe by 2nd semester I will figure out a system for me and my kids personally.
For now, let us compose a list. The 10 commandments if you will, of the do’s and don’ts of school pick up and drop off.
THE 10 COMMANDMENTS OF SCHOOL PICK UP & DROP OFF ACCORDING TO WEST TEXAS PARENTS:
- Don’t let your kids sit and eat their breakfast in the car as you’re dropping them off!

Little Billy is old enough to get off and walk himself. The list could go on and on and on but for now, West Texas parents who struggle the same as I do, have spoken. Take heed of this list and best of luck mom and dad with the pick up and drop-off lines this school year, you’re going to need it!
