Andrews Police Dept. Just Introduced a New Mobile Tips App

The Andrews PD has gone into a partnership with Tip411 to put together a new anonymous tip app for smart phones and tablets.

According to NewsWest 9, the new anonymous tip app is available through the Apple App Store and Google Play and it will remove all identifying information usually sent by your smart phone or tablet before the police see the tips to help the sender remain anonymous.

For residents in Andrews without a smart phone can text the word APDTIP and then send the message to 847411.

The APD still asks for emergencies to go through 911 but if you do have a tip and want to remain anonymous to use the new app.
