The Midland Unified Command Team released a statement Friday (February 5, 2021) that they will be opening up a second mass vaccination site to go with the one at the Horseshoe Arena.

According to NewsWest 9, the second site will be at the Golf Course Road Church of Christ Family Center.

The plan is to have the second mass vaccine site up and running by February 15.

The site will vaccinate those in Phases 1A and 1B to help out the load at the Horseshoe Arena.

But if you got your first dose at the Horseshoe Arena, you have to go back there for your second dose.

If you are unable to drive to the site, EZ Rider will be dropping off people at that vaccination site, go to the EZ Rider website to find the route that will get you there.

You have to be in the current phases that are getting the vaccine which is Phase 1A and 1B.

They are also looking for volunteers, so if you are interested in volunteering at either mass vaccination sites, just text or call Midland Health at 432-242-2149.

All volunteers will also be vaccinated and you need to include your name, phone number, if you are clinical or non-clinical and what times and days you are available when you call or contact Midland Health.

You can also email vaxvolunteers@midlandhealth.org
