Those of you waiting with bated breath for a new 5 Seconds of Summer album can exhale steadily again.

The band dropped a bomb on fans today (August 12), announcing the name of their upcoming album, Sounds Good Feels Good, along with its release date via Twitter. Mark your calendars for October 23 so you can plan on skipping school (or work, we don't discriminate) to devote a full 72 hours to listening to 5SOS' sophomore release on loop. (Hooray for New Music Fridays!)

The album's artwork falls in line with the band's pop-punk-lite aesthetic. There's nothing too edgy going on there, but it features some well-manicured graffiti depictions of things such as a fox, a yelling guy and, of course, the band itself.

Better still: All preorders come with an immediate download of the 5SOS track “Fly Away."

In addition to their sophomore album, the band have a book coming out on October 6. According to the official Harper Collins website, the 5 Seconds of Summer Book of Stuff is comprised of photos and stories directly from the band. You can check out the full synopsis below.

To the very raucous 5SOSfam—wanna find out what the band's been up to over the last year? Jam-packed with their own photos, anecdotes of life on and off the road, and much more, the only official 5 Seconds of Summer book out this year means now you can . . .

Luke, Michael, Calum, and Ash are having a mad year: a world tour, writing their new album, signing up their first band on their own record label, breaking the internet—it's been eventful to say the least. The good news is they want to share it all with you!

This book is a special thanks for (officially) being the best fan army around!

Are you reeling over all this 5SOS news coming at you like a freight train, seemingly out of nowhere? Are you preordering everything like any loyal stan with the financial means to do so would? Let us know!
