Some Odessa residents are not happy with city council members that represent their districts and are putting out petitions to get them removed.

According to NewsWest 9, City Council representatives Barbara Graff, Filiberto Gonzalez, and Malcolm Hamilton are the city council members that are being targeted.

The residents are going through the process of having those council members removed, but it is not an easy task.

They will need 2000 signatures from registered voters in the districts those council members serve before they can get to the next step in having them removed.

The petitions will be distributed in the districts the three council members serve beginning today (October 16, 2017).
