Whataburger Teams Up With West Texas Food Bank For Hunger Action Month
Hunger Action Month runs all through September and the West Texas Food Bank is teaming up with Whataburger to kick it all off.
According to NewsWest 9, Whataburger will donate $5,000 to the Food 2 Kids programs provided by the West Texas Food Bank.
This also goes in sync with Whataburger's Feeding Student Success program.
“The West Texas Food Bank has had so many great partnerships with Whataburger in the past, and I am so happy to kick off Hunger Action Month with their support,” said Libby Campbell, CEO of the West Texas Food Bank. “We look forward to having the community’s support to help end childhood hunger, and to make sure we are all Feeding Student’s Success. As we all know, a hungry child cannot learn.”
So every dollar that is donated at Whataburger, you will receive a free Whataburger coupon that gives you the free burger once you purchase medium fries and a drink.
The money will remain in the Permian Basin and help out our local kids.
So next time you have that craving for a juicy tasty Whataburger, just remember to donate that dollar to help out our local kids.
That way you get a great meal of an awesome burger, and kids get fed as well.
The donations are being taken at all local Whataburger restaurants in Midland and Odessa and will be running all month long.
Just look for the boxes at the register, or donate when they ask if you want to at the register with your debit or credit card.
