Water, Sewer, and Solid Waste Rates to Increase in Odessa

City Council granted the first approval on increasing rates, but a second vote will be necessary to get the rates increased.

According to NewsWest 9, the second vote of approval will happen before October 1, 2020.

If the second vote is approved the rates on water, sewer, and solid waste will go up 2.5%.

The 2.5% increase will result in a $1 to $2 increase in most residents' bills.
