The City of Midland has released their March 'Monthly Shorts', a list of events and activities for the month.

Monthly shorts is a video program hosted by Spencer, showcasing events and activities for the city. Here are some of the events featured:

In case you missed it last month, we had a COFFEE WITH A COP! "Coffee with a Cop" helps provides a unique opportunity for community members to ask questions and learn more about the department’s work in Midland’s neighborhoods. There will be another chance to attend one of these events on March 20th from 7 to 9am at Martinez Bakery located at 206 E Florida Ave. If you have any questions call 432-685-7582

Want something fun to do with the family on the weekend? How about a Pitch, Hit & Run! Hosted by the Midland Parks & Recreation Department! Pitch, Hit & Run will be held at the Security bank ballpark on march 29th from 5 to 7pm followed by a showing of “Sandlot” at the Cimaerex Energy Pavilion at 8pm! If you would like to know more you can contact Joey Jolly at 432-685-7355. And remember baseball seasons right around the corner! Opening Day is April 3rd and season tickets are a hot commodity at Security Bank Ballpark. So don’t forget to visit to reserve your tickets before they are all gone!

The City of Midland will welcome public input on the use of funds intended to benefit low- and moderate-income people living in Midland at an upcoming meeting held at 7 p.m. on March  4th at Casa de Amigos (1101 E. Garden Lane) The City encourages you to attend a meeting to help plan the community development program for 2014-2015. The amount of this upcoming year's funds has not yet been determined.
