A resolution has already passed the Texas House allowing voters to vote this November on whether to keep observing Daylight Saving Time.

According to NewsWest 9, the Texas House has passed a resolution to allow voters to decide whether to keep observing Daylight Saving Time.

HJR 117 as it is known will give voters the option to choose to observe daylight saving time year-round or make the state exempt from the practice completely.

The resolution does not include an option to keep doing the current practice of changing clocks twice a year, the only options will be to observe Daylight Saving Time all year or abolish it completely.

If the resolution continues through the political process it will appear on all Texas ballots for the general election on November 5, 2019.
