VIDEO: This Spurs Fan Won $10K in Dramatic Fashion
The Spurs were on the losing side of the Sacramento Kings matchup on Sunday. However, one fan won $10,000 during one of the in-game contests. He understood the assignment and delivered. His task was to hit a layup, an NBA three-and-a-half-court shot within' 45 seconds as part of the Victory Capital's Half Court Heros Promotion. He did all three tasks and won $10,000.00. This gentleman was also a fireman. As reported by KENS-TV, The firefighter started with a fundamentally-sound right-handed layup off the glass. The windup on his three-point shot brought the ball behind his head, but he only needed a few attempts from the top of the arc to knock one in with 25 seconds to go. Just to make it dramatic he hit his half-court shot at the buzzer.
The San Antonio Spurs were fresh of their 50th Anniversary this past Friday night. Unfortunately, they lost by 30. However, they broke an NBA attendance record with a final count of 68,323. Not only that, they celebrated the halftime show with 90's RnB Tag Team, you know, 'Whoomp, There it Is.' What a celebration!
