UTPB Changes Policy on Grading and Extends Course Dropping Deadline
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, UTPB will be changing some policies to help out students.
According to NewsWest 9, the deadline to drop courses for the current semester has been extended to April 10 and if a student does drop a course, it will not count against the limit of 6 dropped courses.
They can also choose their grading option between the traditional letter grade or they can take a "Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory" grade.
The option of "Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory" grading means the student must earn a C minus minimum to achieve a "Satisfactory" grade.
Students who achieve a Satisfactory grade will receive the credit for the course but the grade will not be added to their GPA.
Students who get an Unsatisfactory grade will not receive the credit and the grade will also not reflect on their GPA.
