TxDOT Gets Funding to Improve Intersection of I-20 and Cotton Flat Road

Gov. Abbott announced on September 10, 2020 that TxDOT won funding to improve the intersection of Cotton Flat and I-20.

According to NewsWest 9, the USDOT awarded $25 million toward the Interstate 20 Energy Sector Safety Project for the Midland/Odessa area.

The project will demolish the overpass at Cotton Flat Road and I-20 and reconfigure the intersection to where I-20 will go over Cotton Flat Road to eliminate bridge strikes and ease congestion.

This is the third project awarded to the Permian Basin of this caliber.
