A&E reality series 'Duck Dynasty' patriarch Phil Robertson has been placed on an "indefinite hiatus" from filming after Robertson made comments in a GQ interview sharing his views on homosexuality as a sin, but is that what this country should be concerned about?

“It seems like, to me, a vagina -- as a man -- would be more desirable than a man’s anus," Robertson told GQ in the January issue of the magazine. "That’s just me. I’m just thinking: There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying? But hey, sin: It’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical....Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men."

Robertson offered an explanation of his actions with a personal statement, saying:

I myself am a product of the '60s; I centered my life around sex, drugs and rock and roll until I hit rock bottom and accepted Jesus as my Savior. My mission today is to go forth and tell people about why I follow Christ and also what the Bible teaches, and part of that teaching is that women and men are meant to be together. However, I would never treat anyone with disrespect just because they are different from me. We are all created by the Almighty and like Him, I love all of humanity. We would all be better off if we loved God and loved each other. - Phil Robertson

What is more shocking: A man espousing the beliefs of his faith or a United States President who was just voted the biggest liar of 2013?  How about the controversy that the courts have just ruled that NSA spying on Americans violates their Fourth Amendment Rights? Maybe the bigger controversy is that our healthcare system has been destroyed by lawmakers who have no idea how the system works? (or maybe that was the idea all along) Or maybe it could be the silent purge of military commanders who were pro-Constitution/Pro-America being replaced by this Administration with men who have no such hindrances. How about yesterday, when every single Democrat and 12 Republicans 67 United States Senators voted to cut the pensions of veterans including disabled combat veterans, but will keep them for illegal immigrants.

The last time I checked we still had a Constitution with a First Amendment that said:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

You may not have agreed with what Phil Robertson said, but you better defend to the death, his right to say it.

My prediction is that the magazine that did the interview will sell millions more copies, A&E network will receive tons of hate mail, and the real controversies in this nation will be put on the back shelf, which is the real tragedy.

Give us your thoughts, after a sneak peek of season 4:
