If you’re feeling an absence of prestige in your Netflix account, The Crown will come to the rescue this December. The revered Queen Elizabeth II drama has booked a winter premiere with its first Season 2 trailer and photos, adding yet another Dexter alum in a famous role.

Netflix announced on Thursday that Season 2 of The Crown will debut all episodes on Friday, December 8. In addition to the photos below, the new footage offers our first look at John Lithgow‘s old Dexter nemesis Michael C. Beginning with soldiers in Her Majesty’s Armed Forces fighting an illegal war in Egypt, and ending with the downfall of her third Prime Minister, Harold Macmillan after a devastating scandal, the second season bears witness to the end of the age of deference, and ushers in the revolutionary era of the 1960s.

Season 2 will also prove the last for Golden Globe-winner Claire Foy and the original cast, as a third season would move on to later portions of Elizabeth’s life. All episodes of The Crown Season 1 are available to stream on Netflix, so stay tuned for the December premiere.
