Texas Woman Awarded $43.5 Million in Texting While Driving Case
A Texas woman is awarded over $43 million in case of texting while driving.
According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, the case was held in Bexar County and involved a Jenny Hennes from Lytle, a town outside of San Antonio, and a driver of an oilfield company SUV that rear ended her in 2015.
The lawyer stated the driver was using a hands-free cellular device immediately before the accident and rear ended Hennes and they hope that this case forces companies to implement policies regarding cell phone usage in company vehicles.
