Texas Tech Fans Ready For The Texas Bowl
If Texas Tech fans are bummed that the Texas Tech Football team isn't going to Orlando, they sure have a strange way showing their sadness. According to KAMC, Texas Tech fans have sold their allotment of tickets to the Texas Bowl in Houston.
And it didn't take long for the tickets to go.
According to KAMC, of the 6,000 tickets, over 4,100 were sold to season ticket holders. Texas Tech students snapped up 400 tickets and online sales helped push the sell out of allotted tickets.
Texas Tech will face Ole Miss in the Texas Bowl in Houston on December 28th and for those Texas Tech fans who are disappointed that they may have missed out on tickets, don't worry because there is still a chance you could grab seats online.
According to KAMC and a statement from Texas Tech, StubHub will have tickets ready for fans to purchase.
All fans and students who were unable to purchase tickets through Texas Tech’s allotment of 6,000 seats are encouraged to do so via Stubhub, the official secondary ticket partner of Texas Tech Athletics, or from www.TaxActTicketBowl.com. The Red Raiders will be the visiting team against the Rebels and will be located on the east sideline.
As part of Texas Tech’s bowl ticket request process, Red Raider Club members and season ticket holders were provided the first opportunity to purchase Texas Bowl tickets ahead of the public on-sale Wednesday morning. Texas Tech sold roughly 4,100 tickets during that period alone before opening online and in-person sales.
Students claimed more than 400 discounted tickets in Texas Tech’s allotment thanks to tremendous support, including a line that formed early Wednesday morning that stretched around the south end zone construction area all the way to University Avenue.
Texas Tech fans travel well, and can make a huge impact in games in Texas.
