Texas Supreme Court Coming to West Texas to Hear a Couple of Cases

The Texas Supreme Court will be coming to the Basin to hear two cases, which marks the first time the court has been in the area.

According to NewsWest 9, the Texas Supreme Court will be at the Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center beginning at 9 am tomorrow (September 19, 2018) to hear two cases.

The event is free and open to the public. The event has been a project of the John Ben Sheppard Leadership Institute for the past three years.

The institute sent a proposal to the court and once it was accepted they applied for a grant from the Texas Bar Foundation to fund the visit to make it free to the public.

They also received funding through a grant from the Odessa Arts.
