Even the most avid and conscientious gun owners may find there are laws, policies, and considerations when it comes to gun ownership in Texas they didn't know.

This week I took another new shooter to the range. Her name is Laura Christina and it would be her very first time to fire a handgun! See how she does.

Spencer invited new shooters or people who have never shot a firearm, to join him at the range for a quick lesson and introduction into the shooting sports. Mary Thompson was our first new shooter to take him up on the offer!

SK Arms in Midland and the Midland Shooters Association will be hosting the SilencerCo 'Quiet Riot' Tour on Sunday, September 27th, for a day centered around learning about the benefits of silencers, as well as helping attendees learn the process of acquiring them.

One of our favorite things to do as a family is to head out on a beautiful afternoon to the shooting range.

My daughter Meredith and I went to the range yesterday and during that excursion, there were a few things that confirmed that I was doing parenting right.

Jose Canseco accidentally shot off his left middle finger while cleaning a handgun in his house.  Jose's fiancée Leila Knight was there when it happened.  She says he was cleaning the gun at his kitchen table, and he didn't know it was loaded.

As I was scrolling through the Facebook posts this morning, I came across one from the Executive Producer and Host of The Outdoor Channel's 'Shooting USA', Jim Scoutten. Its title was, 'Lessons from the Ferguson Riots of 2014'.

As I reported in a previous post, this year's Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade ShowTM (SHOT Show®) was the largest to date! Plenty of new products were shooting for the fastest grown segment of the shooting community: Women! We asked Shooting USA's host for Impossible Shots, Mike Irvine, to fill us in!
