With everything different this year, it is best to get started on busy times of the year early and Susie's South Forty is doing just that.

According to NewsWest 9, Susie's South Forty started a month early this year to prepare for the holiday candy season.

"If something happens and some of our staff get sick, then we won't be able to make it up, so we're working toward that because everything's so unpredictable," said Susie Hitchcock-Hall, owner of Susie's South Forty.

They are down to a third of their normal staff because of the slow business brought about by the pandemic.

They are working ahead to prepare for anything unseen that might happen this holiday season.
