Did you guys know that 'Star Wars' characters appeared in Vogue magazine back in 1977 to model fashionable furs? Yep, this is a thing that happened. May the FURce be with you!

Vogue has always had its finger on the pulse of what's stylish and fashionable, and back in 1977 it was model Jerry Hall, fur, and 'Star Wars.' [Ed. note: on the cover of this issue was a then unknown model named Rene Russo.] Yes, that iconic fashion bible featured characters from our cherished trilogy in this fascinating spread with Stormtroopers, a Jawa, C-3PO, and even Darth Vader -- perhaps the most fashionable 'Star Wars' character of all. Black never goes out of style.

The characters were rounded up to act as accessories to a photo shoot where Hall donned luxurious fur coats and jewelry to showcase the latest trends. We just want to know whose idea this was. Can you even imagine Vogue editor Anna Wintour being this nerdy? Or a photographer calling out to these costumed weirdos, shouting directions like, "C-3PO, look more confused! Fur baffles you!" It must be kind of amazing to direct Jerry Hall as she tries her best to look sexy with a Jawa thieving bracelets from her tiny model wrist.

Check out images from the 'Star Wars' Vogue photoshoot below and wonder if 'Star Wars: Episode 7' will have a Cosmo photoshoot in 2015.
