Despite gallivanting with all manner of beautiful ladies, Simon Cowell's sexuality seems to constantly be in question. Now the 53-year-old producer and reality-show mogul says it's cool if you think he's gay.

(Which, in case you don't know, is exactly how straight people who are totally comfortable with their own sexuality handle such things.)

"I couldn't care less because it's nothing to be ashamed of. It feels like such an antiquated question now," Cowell told the UK's Radio Times (quotes via HuffPo). "If I was living 200 years ago in a coal mine, maybe, but I work in possibly the gayest industry in the world."

Someone's just begging to be sued by a gay coal miner's union.

"It would make no difference to my life or my career," he continued. "A lot of my friends are gay, but I'm not and don't even think that way any more."

Cowell said that he's not actively looking for a wife, but that he is a "good breaker-upper." For what it's worth, he's also famously generous with his ex-girlfriends. So maybe all those gay rumors are just wishful thinking from some of our friends in the rainbow community.
