A new place to eat is always a good thing in the Permian Basin and especially when it is a new donut shop.

According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, the newest location of Shipley Do-Nuts will be opening April 9, 2021 located at 5210 W. Wadley.

That is right next to Dickey's Barbecue in front of Academy and Mardel and will be open 5am-6pm seven days a week..

Shipley Do-Nuts will offer 60 varieties of donuts, pastries, and kolaches that will be made daily in the shop.

The owners of the shop have vowed to "serve the best donuts, kolaches, and coffee in West Texas."

The owners are already planning a second location that will be at the corner of Wall St. and Garfield but it was not stated if they were building the new location on the old Lori's Cafe site or if the shop will be located in the shopping center behind Chick-fil-A.

Shipley Do-Nuts opened in Houston back in 1936 and the donut recipe has been passed down and used at all the locations since that time and they now have branched out into nine states.

In other news about new places to eat, Huddle House is going to be coming to Odessa located at Hwy 191 and Loop 338 inside a new Kent Kwik that is currently under construction.

They will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner with big house breakfast food being their specialty.

New places for breakfast is always a big deal for me, I love breakfast at anytime of the day so I will be visiting both locations regularly.
