With his Wonder Wheel set to close this year’s New York Film Festival, Woody Allen is already putting together a roster for his next project. His next film may not have an official logline yet, but Allen has cast Elle Fanning, Selena Gomez, and Call Me By Your Name breakout Timothée Chalamet in his next movie for Amazon Studios.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Allen has finalized a deal with the trio of young, talented actors for the film, which he is characteristically being very secretive about. This is the third of Allen’s films that will be released theatrically by Amazon, as he has also worked with the studio on the aforementioned Wonder Wheel and Cafe Society.

Allen is the latest big-name director in Elle Fanning’s current hot streak, which includes Sofia Coppola (The Beguiled) and Nicolas Winding Refn (The Neon Demon). Gomez recently produced Netflix’s controversial 13 Reasons Why. Before breaking out with Luca Guadagnino’s Call Me By Your Name, Chalamet appeared on Homeland, and will be starring in upcoming films like Hot Summer Nights and Greta Gerwig’s Lady Bird.

Now, I’m certain you have by now heard about the controversy that continues to surround Woody Allen, so I won’t go into it here. Gomez, Fanning, and Chalamet are all extremely talented young actors and I hope for their sake that their movie is good, and I also hope they all become very good friends and follow each other on Instagram.
