Actor and comedian Russell Brand went on MSNBC's 'Morning Joe' to promote his new world tour 'Messiah Complex' -- but instead of getting to discuss the intelligent and insightful purpose of his controversial comedy show, he ended up being repeatedly disrespected.

And if you think he took that lying down, well, you don't know Russell Brand.

Things took a strange turn in the interview (around the 4:38 mark) when co-host Mika Brzezinski and panelists Brian Shactman and Katty Kay talked about Brand in the third person as if wasn't sitting right there. Not to mention complaining that his British accent often makes him unintelligible on the radio.

At that point, Brand decided he'd had enough and it was time to school the journalists in how to act like professionals, telling them, "You're talking about me as if I'm not here and as if I'm an extraterrestrial. You know, I'm from a country that's near to you. Thank you for your casual objectification."

And that was just for starters.

Check out the full video above to see Russell Brand show a crew of supposed news pros how to treat guests and do their jobs the way they're supposed to be done. (You may not like him, but anyone who underestimates his intelligence does so at their own peril.)
